PRESS REVIEWS 2016
A grand finale for the music festival "Concerts at Borgo dei Fieschi",
that brought a series of high-quality musical events in some of the architectural jewels between
Cogorno Alta and Borgo dei Fieschi ... to close the 2015-2016 edition there will be a great piano
virtuoso - Andrea Bacchetti, a top-level pianist - as protagonist of the final concert. And, if
the keyboard is in the hands of a Maestro, the concert program is dedicated to two authentic
music all-time greats: Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ... today event is among
the not to be missed dates. ...
Borgo dei Fieschi, here comes Bacchetti

... it will be inaugurated the cycle "Concerts in an art chest" presented by
the Philharmonic Association "Eliodoro Sollima" ..."Bach on piano" is the usual
issue that we propose to Bacchetti, who will play then pages by Mozart and Schubert, Chopin and Rossini.
«We don't turn our nose up at Baroque music on a historic instrument, but modern piano, that is
the arrival point for keyboard instruments, has certainly wider resources». ...
Bacchetti's piano today in Palermo - On schedule, musics by Bach
Giornale di Sicilia - January 31st, 2016 (Sara Patera)
... Andrea Bacchetti's pedigree as a Bach performer has long preceded him, and the opportunity
to enrich our collections with a set of these concerti is a welcome one. The debate about use of piano
instead of harpsichord rumbles on, but as ever the sonorities here will inevitably be that mash-up of
modern and antique which may or may not bother you. ...
In general this will certainly be a must-have for fans of Andrea Bacchetti, who are unlikely to be
disappointed. I wouldn't personally choose it as an absolute top version if the orchestral playing were
the defining factor; but where Bacchetti and his team lose a little in weight of sound they gain much
in transparency, so it will be up to personal taste as to which you prefer. This can be had more
distinctively elsewhere, but these are works for which the keyboard is central and so the overall
impression is fine indeed. These are refreshing performances that very much avoid the darker
"fatness" you can find with some piano recordings. Bacchetti is a strong enough player to
carry six concertos at a sitting and still leave you wanting more.

Bach's Art in Bacchetti's fingers
Brescia Oggi - February 2nd, 2016 (Luigi Fertonani)
y Christine Schornsheim, clave (6, 13, 20 y 27 febrero).

"A piano and a voice". Not an ordinary pianist, but rather the great Andrea
Bacchetti, a classic pianist for his education but also versatile and histrionic, who has been able
even to bring classical music in TV at the "Chiambretti Night Show". And what can we say
about the voice the title refers? It's not a common voice, but "the" voice; Antonella Ruggiero,
a soprano extension, who was able to range in all music genres, from Matia Bazar to sacred music,
passing through jazz and avant-garde experimental contaminations. The well-chosen meeting between these
two Ligurian international-level artists started off a tour of concerts that includes also a date in

«Music is not a matter of labels, it's versatile, as we two are»
Libertà - February 20th, 2016 (Donata Meneghelli)
After defining themselves an odd couple, Andrea Bacchetti and Antonella Ruggiero fascinated
the audience that crowded the town theatre with a great music soirée in the context of the 2015/2016 season.
And, indeed, apart from having Ligurian origins in common and being both great interpreters, there are more
differences than affinities between the two artists: Bacchetti, fine Bach interpreter, is a classicist,
while Ruggiero has always been a pop music exponent. Bacchetti is a bit too serious, while Ruggiero is
highly extroverted. Bacchetti is a symbol of stylistic purity, Ruggiero loves contaminating genres. Bacchetti
follows the rules, Ruggiero loves to break them. And we could continue. But this "odd couple" worked.
And it did also well, with Bacchetti's piano to fill half theatre up with sound, and the other half completed
by Ruggiero's extraordinary voice. In the end, the duo has been overwhelmed by applauses of the audience, that
would have like to hear other songs ...

The Verdi Hall is particularly crowded in order to welcome the new concert by the Genoese pianist Andrea Bacchetti
for the Serate Musicali festival, in a rainy night of November. In this occasion, the beloved Bach, who is always
protagonist of many very high-level soirees and recordings by our artist is put apart (almost: in fact, he will be
back as one of the two encores at the end of the concert, played with enthusiasm by the musician and applauded with
satisfaction by his audience): this time, Mozart is the topic. On Bacchetti's talent almost everything has been
told: since a long time he has been excellent while recording - as the highest level of his last release with Sony
Classical, Bach Concertos with orchestra, witnesses - and he has become also an important live performer both on
the Italian and the international musical sceneries, being able to captivate the audience that follows him constantly
in his Milanese events and that grew fond to him. ...
